Twenty-three jobs have been created in Guiseley with the opening of a superstore chain dedicated to arts and crafts.
Hobbycraft opened on Wednesday, Novem-ber 21, but had its official opening ceremony on Saturday.
Nursery pupils from the nearby Busy Bees Nursery declared the store open.
The opening marked the beginning of a weekend of celebra-tions.
Activities included balloon-modelling, art demonstrations, free face- painting and make and play sessions for children.
The first 100 customers through the doors of the store, at Guiseley Retail Park, received a free gift.
New store manager Alison Pett said Guiseley was a town rich in community spirit and creativity.
She added: “The people I’ve met out and about are thrilled about Hobbycraft opening. We’ll have something to offer everyone.
“There’s home crafts and jewellery-making to kids ‘make and take’ sessions and art essentials.”
