Woody Allen’s charming literary time-travel comedy, Midnight In Paris, is the next presentation by Ilkley Film Society at 8pm on Sunday at Ilkley Playhouse.
A successful screenwriter, on holiday in Paris, finds himself transported each night to the 1920s and the world of Ernest Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald, Picasso and Dali. A fine cast includes Marion Cotillard (Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose) and Michael Sheen (Brian Clough in The Damned United), and the witty screenplay won Woody Allen his fourth Oscar at this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
Tickets for those who are not members of the Film Society are £4 (students £2), and can be reserved by contacting Richard Fort on (01535) 653471. Visit ilkleyfilm-society.org.uk for season details.
