Ikley crime level figures low

Numbers of crimes remained low in the Ilkley area last month, according to the latest police figures.

Crime statistics for Ilkley, Addingham, Burley-in-Wharfedale and Menston in October have revealed only three house burglaries in all four communities.

A total of 24 crimes were recorded for Ilkley itself. This included five burglaries of sheds, garages or commercial premises, three assaults, four thefts from motor vehicles and four incidents of criminal damage.

There were just two crimes in Addingham, one of them a theft from a vehicle.

Menston had 12 crimes, including a single house burglary, two other burglaries, one assault, a theft from a vehicle and three reports of criminal damage.

There were ten crimes in Burley. Among these were two house burglaries, two other burglaries, one assault, three thefts from a vehicle and one criminal damage.
