Yorkshire Air Ambulance will move from its base at Leeds-Bradford Airport to a new site in Wakefield.
The charity, which will keep its second base at RAF Topcliffe, near Thirsk, has been granted planning permission by Wakefield Council to build a new airbase at Nostell Priory Roses Building, within the Nostell Estate.
It is expected to move from the Yeadon airport and begin operating from its new base next summer.
A spokesman said: “The new site will provide a dedicated airbase for one of the two Yorkshire Air Amb-ulance helicopters, and include hangar space, office facilities, and accommodation for aircrew.
“The helicopter will be relocated from its existing base at Leeds-Bradford International Airport while the second air ambulance continues to operate from RAF Topcliffe in North Yorkshire.”
