Young musicians, Scouts and Guides will benefit from the 30th Otley Carnival.
Proceeds from next year’s anniversary event, which takes place on June 15, will be split between Otley Parish Scout and Guide Association and Wharfe Brass, the feeder group for Otley Brass Band.
Scouts and Guides will use their money to help replace the rotten roof of their Burras Lane base, while the band will use its share to help fund a residential trip to Haworth, where they will attend brass workshops.
The committee’s fundraising efforts for next year will begin when it holds a stall at Otley Victorian Fayre on December 9.
