Wheely good efforts by three friends have raised thousands of pounds for charity.

Andy Rhodes, 24, along with Chris Quaife and Ben Button, both 36, completed a 50-mile sponsored cycle ride, raising £4,300, which will be split between The Stroke Association and Diabetes UK charities.

The causes are close to the trio’s hearts as Mr Rhodes suffered a massive stroke earlier this year and Mr Quaife has suffered with Type 1 diabetes most of his life.

The group finished their cycle at Ilkley Cricket Club. With further pledges still to be collected, the group believe the total amount could top £5,000.
