Description:

Shipley College is a small, friendly place, where you will get the individual attention and support you deserve. Situated in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire it is a great place to study and easy to get to by bus or train.

We offer a wide range of Apprenticeships, full and part-time courses to help you achieve your future ambitions, whether its to get a job, go onto Higher Education or train for that job you've always wanted.

An on-site cafe, providing high quality meals and snacks, Gym, Student Services who offer a range of support services, including advice on EMA and ALG and the Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

The Learning Resource Centre: Delivering high quality learning resources to support the achievement of excellence in learning, teaching and research across the College.

We provide integrated library, computing and media services Our LRC provides a 'one-stop shop' for your information, computing, study and coursework presentation requirements in a pleasant, flexible learning environment.
Make sure you get the best from your learning experience by using our facilities.

· A staffed helpdesk offering expert advice and support

· Induction and research skills development programmes to help you make effective use of learning resources

· Open 8.30am - 7pm Mon - Thurs. 8.30 - 4.30 Friday.

We offer access to collections of books, journals, CD-Roms, DVDs, videos, audio cassettes, on-line information databases, digital video and still cameras, PC suite, laptops for loan, scanning, colour printing and photocopying facilities, project binding and laminating services.

We offer a welcoming atmosphere with a helpful, friendly team of staff always ready to help and advise. Anyone studying at Shipley College is entitled to use our facilities. You will need your College ID badge to borrow our resources. We look forward to seeing you.

Shipley College Open Days are a great way for you to come and check out the College and find out more about the courses we offer before you enrol. You can talk to our tutors, get some careers advice and guidance and tour the college. The Open Days are very informal, parents, family and friends are more than welcome – no need to book, just turn up!
