Loose Women will be getting mouthy over books with a new monthly TV show.

The hit ITV daytime panel show is branching out into a book club with Loose Books, where fans will also be able to join the literary discussion.

Each month, the Loose Women will take it in turns to pick their favourite book that they, their audience and viewers will then have a month to read before the discussion show.

Book choices can be fact or fiction, from classics to new releases, and are sure to provoke the strong opinions the stars of the chat show have become known for.

The Loose Women have launched book club Loose Books (ITV)

The first choice comes from regular panellist Coleen Nolan, who has picked psychological thriller The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. The book club launched today (March 25) and its first discussion show will air on Monday, April 20.

Editor of Loose Women Martin Frizell said: “We think of our Loose Women viewers as part of a club and so it’s a natural extension to widen that into a book club.

“Each title has been chosen by one of our presenters and they’re really looking forward to immersing themselves in great stories and sharing feelings and thoughts with our viewers each month.”

Viewers can join the debate by posting on the Loose Books Facebook page or other social media.
