ILKLEY Soul Club's fourth event (and the first of 2018) took off again on the afternoon of Sunday, January 28, at The Hollygarth on Leeds Road.

People had come from far and wide to see and hear the special guest DJ's, Vic Hankins and Mick Nichols, play two exceptional sets of pure Northern Soul, mixed with some outstanding Tamla Motown dance tracks.

The crowd was so eager, the start time had to be brought forward half an hour to accommodate the many early arrivals.

There were visitors from as far as Blackburn, Scarborough and Warrington in the very enthusiastic audience, which during the afternoon swelled to a fantastic total of over 110.

Both guest DJ's, along with regulars, Barry Innocenti, Ian Smith and Keith Hudson, had the dancefloor filled from start to finish and by the 8pm came around all too quickly, everyone had had a superb time listening and dancing to the "soundtrack of their youth" and meeting up with friends old and new.

Ilkley Soul Club will be doing it all again on Sunday, February 25 at The Hollygarth, from 3pm to 8pm, when the guest DJ's will be Steve Burke from Bradford and Mike Harris over from Harrogate.
