OTLEY Choral Society is beginning the build up to its 75th anniversary concert on Saturday, March 24 at 7:30pm in Otley Parish Church.
This should be a very special term for all members as the choir works towards performances of Schubert’s Mass in G and a wonderful piece written especially for the choirs 60th anniversary by Andrew Carter of “ Musick’s Jubilee”.
Building on last terms’ excellent performances of Elijah and Messiah the choir, under their amazing musical director, Yonni Levy, is very excited to face the fresh challenges the two very different pieces present. The choir invite not only new members to join, but also welcome back any ex members who wish to enjoy performing in a large choir under such an inspirational conductor.
Rehearsals began on Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Newell Church Hall, Newell Carr Road. See the Otley Choral Society website or facebook page for further information.
