WELCOME to another year of amazing films ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of everyone here at Ilkley Cinema, we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and hope that you're ready to soak up another collection of fabulous films.

Hugh Jackman demonstrates his astonishing musical talents once again in the overwhelmingly joyous and uplifting The Greatest Showman. This contemporary musical tells the story of P.T Barnum, an ordinary man who created "The Greatest Show on Earth" : The Circus. When Barnum lost his job as a clerk, he vowed to bring a better life to himself and his family. With a vast imagination, he proved that anything is possible. Collecting a group of extraordinary people, Barnum put together a show like none had ever seen before, with some hailing it a revolution in the entertainment world, and others calling it a disgrace. But a little negativity never stopped anyone before, so why should it now?

Featuring a stellar cast including Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya and Hugh Jackman, this cheerful and scintillatingly flashy musical is exactly the remedy for those January blues. With a remarkably infectious soundtrack, colourful costumes and all-round good feel to this film, there is no better way to spend a Saturday night. It's so good, you may want to see it again!

We also bring you an insightful documentary into the life and work of Oscar winning costume designer, photographer and socialite Cecil Beaton in Love, Cecil. Director Lisa Immordino Vreeland offers an evocative portrait of this talented whirlwind whose creative work captured many facets of the 20th century, with Beaton's diaries narrated beautifully by Rupert Everett.

Back by popular demand, we are showing Paddington 2 this weekend, so if you didn't catch the adorable, marmalade eating bear in another exciting and hilarious adventure with the Browns, then now is your chance.
