AUTHOR, chef and amateur cyclist Hayden Groves will be at Booths, Ilkley next week to talk about his incredible stories from the 3 Tour Challenge in aid of Cure Leukaemia.

After taking part in the gruelling 3 Tours Challenge, Hayden has written the book ‘Back in the Saddle’ in aid of the blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia. He aims to help raise £1 million with all proceeds from the book. The coffee table book consists of over 70 recipes and personal tales from himself and others who took part in the challenge for charity. The recipes are inspired by the route they took and feature contributions from Professor Charles Craddock CBE, Alastair Storey OBE, Phil Liggett MBE, Laura Kenny CBE and Michel Roux Jr.

The tour took the cyclists through Italy, France and Spain. Over 6,400 miles were completed by the amateurs in just 63 days – something only completed by 39 professional cyclists to date.

Cure Leukaemia was founded in 2003 and has since enabled blood cancer patients’ access to potentially lifesaving, ground breaking drugs and treatments through its work. The Birmingham based charity sets its mission to see blood cancer eradicated within the next 25 years.

Blood cancer in the UK is the 5th most common cancer. With over 14,000 dying from it each year, it is the UK’s 3rd biggest killer which could affect around 1 in 25 of us.

For these reasons Booths is getting behind Hayden and his team, to promote the book and an exceptional cause affecting so many here in the UK. The 288 page book is available from this November 2017 and is priced at £30.

Hayden will be hosting a talk and signing books from on November 30 from 7.30pm to 9pm and on December 1 Hayden is going to hold a cooking demonstration in store between 11.30am-1.30pm.
