THE second Ilkley Soul Club event takes place on Sunday, November 5. No fireworks here though! But there will be two explosive guest DJs.

Phil Dick from Bradford is just back from organising the hugely successful Detroit A-Go-Go festival in the States, celebrating the best in soul and Motown music from the 1960s and 1970s. This was held from October 18 - 23 in Detroit and was attended by around 300 Northern Soul fans who made the trip from the UK.

Mike Harris from Harrogate, has been on the scene since the 60s, with early DJ appearances at Blackpool Highland Room and Up-the-Junction in Crewe.

At their successful inaugural event on Sunday, September 24, Ilkley Soul Club had 70 soul fans in attendance on an afternoon/evening full of top-class Northern Soul music.

The organisers, Barry Innocenti and Ian Smith are hoping to produce yet another memorable event on November 5 at The Hollygarth, Leeds Road, Ilkley from 3pm to 8pm.
