THIS half term, we have managed to acquire access to the TARDIS this week at Ilkley Cinema, and we'll be taking you on journeys to quaint tales past and gripping sci-fi adventures in the distant future.

It's been a whopping 35 years since Harrison Ford took charge in the cult classic Blade Runner and now Ryan Gosling takes the lead as K in the highly anticipated sequel Blade Runner 2049. Decades after the events of Blade Runner, K discovers the remains of a pregnant replicant, an artificial human, and is tasked with finding the child in question and destroying it, before it creates a potential war between replicants and humans. However, this tricky task leads K to find blade runner Rick Deckard, who has been missing for 30 years.

Down before the hundred-acre wood was penned, there was a man who was struggling in the aftermaths of the Great War in Goodbye Christopher Robin. A A Milne and his family moved from London to the countryside, the writer began to pen stories based on the toys of his young son, Christopher Robin and the adventures they had together. These fanciful tales became the enchanting characters we know and love today: Winnie the Pooh and Friends, and became an instant success, a story of hope and comfort after such a terrible war.

We also get the privilege to delve into the life of one of the most iconic female artists of all time: Grace Jones in this smashing documentary Bloodlight and Bami. Larger than life, wild, scary and androgynous, Jones plays all these parts. Yet we also discover her as a lover, daughter, mother, sister and even grandmother, as she submits herself to our gaze and allows us to understand what constitutes her mask.

Finally, kids won't want to miss this cute little cartoon, lovable The Jungle Bunch. Maurice may look like a penguin - but he's a real tiger inside! Raised by a tigress, he's the clumsiest Kung-Fu master ever, but he intends to maintain order and justice in the jungle, as his mother did before him.
