FOLLOWING their hugely successful production of Made in Dagenham, Yeadon Amateurs are delighted to announce their show for 2018 will be Dolly Parton’s “Nine to Five” and preparations are underway, with the first audition date being Wednesday, May 24, 7pm to 10pm at Yeadon Town Hall.

Keen to recreate the passion and energy of their last show, Yeadon Amateurs will be working with director Peyton Martin and his team, and are also encouraging newcomers to come along to the audition and find out how they can become part of this exhilarating show.

The musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.

Director Peyton Martin said: “This is a high energy, big company production with an exciting array of musical numbers for talented male and female performers. We are going to need an eclectic mix of characters with powerful voices, strong actors and a lot of dancers of all abilities.”
