IN this spectacular new week of films, we have ordinary heroes trying to bring a smile to a country in the depths of war and an incredible superhero team encountering exhilarating adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos.

From May 12 to 18, Gemma Arterton stuns alongside the exceptional Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin in WWII romance drama Their Finest. As a young wife during the height of the London Blitz, Catrin (Arterton) jumps at the chance of being a scriptwriter when she and her husband struggle to make ends meet. But this job is no ordinary role: for they are creating a propaganda film in order to boost morale for the war torn country, to unite them in these distressing times.

In a period that saw women triumph in roles traditionally ruled by men, Catrin proves to shine in the filming industry and fights against the sexist stereotypes set by her superiors. Working alongside screenwriter Tom Buckley (Claflin), we watch as the pair's witty and banter bickering blossom into something expected as this wonderful film within a film comes to life.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot are back, a mere three years since their first outing in the Marvel classic, this rag tag superhero team are back in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Renowned in their trade of protecting the galaxy, the group are hired by a leader of a Sovereign race to protect some valuable batteries from a terrible monster. But when Rocket decides to steal some of the batteries for himself, things get bad and they get bad pretty quick.

Just make sure you don't run for the hills as the credits start to roll, for you will miss Marvel's patented multiple teaser clips for upcoming movies, which will leave you guessing for months to come.
