HALF term holidays are on the horizon folks, and we have the perfect solution to keep the whole family entertained through all those bitterly cold, wintry days.

It is said that Danny Boyle wanted to wait long enough so that the original cast of Trainspotting would have naturally aged enough to be weathered by the hands of time before he would make a sequel to the Irvine Welsh classic. So around 20 years after the mid-90’s drug addled, strictly adult black comedy, Renton, Begbie, Spud and Sick Boy return in style in T2: Trainspotting, but will they have the same lust for life after all this time.

Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the place he calls home, and the whole gang are still there. In some ways, the lads have changed in many ways. In other ways, things are exactly the same. But we can be sure that shenanigans, misery and madness will be waiting in the wings as the old saying still remains: Choose life.

For the kids this week, we have chills and they’re multiplying in the fantastically funny animation Sing. Think of it as The X Factor that we all know and love, but with cute and quirky animals being the stars of the show. And we all know that animals make anything instantly better!

In a bid to save his crumbling theatre, savvy, dapper koala Buster Moon decides to hold the most incredible singing competition of all time. This allows animals from every walk of life to come out of the shadows for their chance to shine. Some of these exceptional contestants include a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine, but who will reign victorious?

Finally we just cannot seem to get enough of the jaunty, hugely popular, infectiously happy La La Land as it returns for a third week. And with the Oscars just around the corner, what better time to see the film that everyone is raving about?
