A BLUES harmonica-playing legend will take the stage at Otley Courthouse in the New Year.

Paul Lamb, who has been playing the instrument for more than 40 years, has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Mark Knopfler, The Who and Rod

Stewart.

After starting out in the blues clubs of the North East, Paul earned his first big break at the age of 20 when he represented the UK in the Harmonica World Championships.

He has gone on to not only collaborate with best-selling artists but also to score soundtracks for the BBC and have his music featured in a number of films.

In 1994 he enjoyed a hit single with the song Harmonica Man, and was recently inducted into the British Blues Award Hall of Fame.

Paul's band the King Snakes - winners of the Best British Blues Band title in 2014 - feature Chad Stentz on vocals and guitar, Dino James on drums, Rod Dimerick on bass

and Paul's own son, Ryan, on guitar.

They will perform at the Courthouse from 8pm on Saturday, January 14. Tickets cost £12 and can be booked by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or

popping into the venue, on Courthouse Street, Otley.
