Award-winning saxophonist Russell van den Berg will be swapping the music room for the stage when he comes to Ilkley next year.
The musician and composer will perform at Ilkley Grammar School, where he gives private music lessons, on January 26.
A former tutor at London’s Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy, he has recorded four solo albums as well as working with big names like Digby Fairweather, the London Jazz Orchestra and the late Jeff Clyne.
He will perform with his band Centre-Line, a joint venture with drummer Darren Altman, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £7 or £5 concessions and can be booked through the school’s website, ilkley.school-site2.net or at the school reception.
