The atmospheric view of Henshaw Lane and the Station hotel was captured by Howard Thompson during a snow storm.

The picture attracted 2,900 views within the first few hours of being post to Aireborough Historical Society's Facebook page.

Archivist Carlo Harrison said: "This photograph is in itself history, it evokes memories of the past and for our Aireborough friends spread across the globe it reminds them of home."
