AND the prize for most people on a roof goes to ... Alva House in Guiseley, which looked seriously overcrowded when this photograph was taken in 1883.
The property was reputed to be the first house in Guiseley to be built with a flat roof - and guests were clearly making the most of it, crowding on to have a good view of the town.
The house was built by James Waddington who also built Cassfield Mill and Alva Terrace to provide homes for some of his workforce.
Aireborough Historical Society archivist Carlo Harrison said: "At the time of this photo it was the home of the Walsh family, they were hosting a 'Sewing Tea' for members of the new Baptist Chapel on Oxford Road which had opened the same year, 1883.
"The house later became part of the Cassfield Mill complex and is now demolished."
Twenty years ago youngsters at All Saints First School in Ilkley dressed up in all their festive finery to stage a nativity play.
