A charity raffle has raised £100 to help care for sick children.

Pupils at Westville House School, in Ilkley, helped organise the raffle for Martin House Hospice, which provides care and support for children and young people with progressive life-limiting illness across Yorkshire.

Local businesses Cook, Dobson and Robinson, Mortens, Jackpot and Le Bistrot Pierre all gave their support to the raffle.

“We thank everyone who took part and bought a raffle ticket, but a special thanks must go to the shops and restaurants who donated some great prizes and made the lucky winners very happy indeed,” said organiser Marcia Nattress.

Westville headteacher Charles Holloway said: “We are delighted that the school is able to support Martin House, which provides a very important service in the area.”
