Kiki Dee and long-term collaborator Carmello Luggeri are taking an acoustic journey to the City Varieties.

The Bradford singer was in Saltaire last December, playing a stripped-back, intimate show, and she returns to the region this autumn.

Last year marked Kiki’s 50th year in the music business and, to celebrate, she and Carmello released critically-acclaimed album A Place Where I Can Go, featuring 11 new tracks including haunting duet Horses with Scottish singer Eddi Reader.

Their acoustic show, comprising stories and song, includes covers of songs by artists such as Kate Bush and Frank Sinatra, as well as Kiki’s own hits such as Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, I Got the Music In Me and Amoureuse.

l Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri – An Acoustic Journey, is at City Varieties Music Hall, Leeds, on Thursday, October 23. For tickets, ring (0113) 243 0808.
