Lots of noise from the second aubergines
This year's Otley Green Fair will play host to one of the more unusual ways of experimenting with vegetables.
No, it's not some sort of exotic cookery demonstration but a musical instrument making-and-playing public workshop run by Richard Sabey of local arts group The Big Hoo-Ha Co.
The instruments will be concocted entirely out of vegetables!
Mr Sabey said: "We will be helping people to make a selection of instruments, including carrot recorders, aubergine castanets and butternut bongos.
"We will also be doing a bit of hip-hop scratching courtesy of the savoy cabbage.
"Once the instruments are all made, we will then have a short performance as a vegetable orchestra."
When it comes to vegetable instruments The Big Hoo-Ha Co certainly know their onions.
They were commissioned in November 2007 by the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival to run a series of workshops for primary schools, which was featured on Look North (probably the only time Christa Ackroyd has played a carrot live on air!).

The Green Fair takes place this Saturday, April 12, at Otley Courthouse.
The vegetable instrument workshops are at 11.30am and 1pm and last for about 1 hours.
They will cost £2 per person and are suitable for anyone over nine years- old.
No previous experience in playing vegetables is needed and there is no need to bring your own produce as the veget Supermarket.
Places on the workshops are limited so booking is highly recommended. This can be done at the Courthouse either in person or on 01943 467466.
