Sisters set to confuse the audience

Sisters Antonia and Adrianna Gentile are promising not to confuse the audience in Guiseley Amateur Operatic Society's (GAOS) production of The Boyfriend' in February. Although there are two years between them, the sisters often get confused as twins.
Nineteen year-old Antonia said, "There's only two years between us, we're a similar height with the same features - we've both got dark hair and pale skin - and a lot of the time people think we're twins. So we have lots of fun confusing people at rehearsals.
"We often wonder if the audience will think there's one girl playing two roles. Playing tricks on people because we look similar is lots of fun."
Antonia is playing the leading female role of Polly Browne, the daughter of a wealthy businessman at Madame du Bonnet's finishing school in Nice. Her sister, Adrianna, is playing another pupil at the school, Fay.
The sisters don't compete with each other for roles as they're different kinds of performers.
"There's never really any rivalry for roles as I'm an alto and I like playing character roles. Antonia is a soprano and usually goes for romantic roles that involve a lot of singing, because she loves singing the best."
Both sisters started dancing at the age of four and have been performing ever since. Adrianna has done quite a lot of pantomimes, playing quite a few comical roles.
Antonia has been lucky enough to perform on the stage in the West End in a special 20th anniversary production of Les Miserables'. Antonia was chosen by the producer of the show after seeing a video of her performing in the school edition. She auditioned and was chosen to play Cosette.
