AT a very wet Yorkshire Marathon, Richard Walker braved the conditions and led the Airecentre Pacers team home in three hours, 11 minutes and seven seconds to come 260th overall in his first ever marathon.
IN the Vale of York Half-Marathon, Airecentre Pacers athlete Richard Walker gained a personal best with a fine time of one hour, 24 minutes and 54 seconds.
LAST weekend’s Fleetwood Half Marathon, which featured a number of Airecentre Pacers, descended into farce as marshalling errors sent a large number of athletes on an extra few miles before they crossed the finish line.
AIRECENTRE Pacers athlete Andrew Humphries represented Team GB at last week’s Fyn ITU Duathlon World Championships in Odense, Denmark, and was the top runner for his country.
AIRECENTRE Pacers club captain Will Woodhead pulled off an amazing victory in the Canal Canter Ultra Marathon, crossing the line in four hours, 37 minutes and 10 seconds, a full half hour ahead of second placed athlete Ashleigh Grailey!
AT last week’s Apperley Bridge Canter, a multi-terrain 10-kilometre run with some steep climbs and descents, Owain Gwilym led a good turnout from Airecentre Pacers, crossing the line in 41 minutes and 52 seconds.
ANDREW Smith gained another podium with a third place finish at the Meridian East Coast 10 Miler, a flat and fast, out and back route, which starts close to the Greenwich Meridian Line.
