KILBURN Margaret (nee Hardy) Local School Mistress Beloved wife of Sam. W. Kilburn, loving mother of John and Sheila, treasured grandma of Emily and Beth Kilburn, Sam and Heather Hardwick and great-grandma of Zac, Sammy and Max Hardwick. Margaret taught in various local schools including Drummond Road, Bradford, Yeadon South View, St Oswald’s School, Guiseley, and Pudsey Crawshaw, before retiring in 1981. She helped with Yeadon Guides and later joined the Trefoil Guild and also taught teenagers with learning difficulties. She enjoyed dancing and was a member of a couple of walking groups before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Margaret died peacefully after a long stay in Ghyll Royds Nursing Home on September 17, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held at Rawdon Crematorium at 1.40p.m., on Tuesday, October 4. No flowers please, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
